After the modest humidity of Valparaiso, Chile I am moving forward in time to the humidity of Misiones region, Argentina not far from the Iguazu falls.
This shot was taken around 7 am or so, while doing a short stop as part of 18 hr ride by bus from Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazo. As it is so typicla of tropical weather, humidity was quite pronounced and a heavy fog was covering the whole region - a superb timing for nice silhouettes against the fuzzy sun (hope I managed it right!)
About the picture exposure - The main subjects here are the tree and the truck roaring on the road. Now, I had to choose - the tree of the bus...I chose the tree at the end, as it served as the main subject and had a greater impact over the whole scene...What do you think?

Hi Chen,
I always like misty shots, and this one is a nice one in that category. Good choice to put the tree as the main subject, it contrast with the tree line further in the mist. As for the truck, it comes as an extra element, looking for its way through the trees and the mist. Well done !

Cheers,
Youssef.

I agree with you (and previous critiquer) - you made the right choice on subject here. Very atmospheric shot. Well done!

A very nice atmospheric image - beautiful tones in the fore and mid ground details - one really gets the sense and smells of the morning with this one - excellent!!

best wishes Kev

Hi Chen

Chen I love this photo: superb mood created by just the right amount of light and darkness. The tree silouthes & moving truck with its headlights create a very interesting/captivating photo. Thanks for sharing and regards from Chile, Robert
PS Why can´t I give you smileys...they are not available ¿?

It's very nice, Chen. An effective play of silhouettes, a good rendition of the sun's early glow penetrating the haze, and a well-placed detail of the truck (or rather its silhouette with the two "eyes" looking into the frame). Fine work, I like it.

That's a nice one Chen, the colormood and gradiants in the mist is very appealing, good choice of the tree in counterlight to the yellow sun.

the tree, it was tre tree that stood there, that had been there long before any truck or lorry would appear, therefore this is about that tree, and the wehicle is just an upcomming observer...
nice one,
best wishes, j.

Hi Chen
(Modest humidity, moist humility? :)

A peaceful morning; now it makes sense. The mist was merciful that day; or was it just a matter of patience? Good truck-jacking here. And since you picked out the tree, it follows the trees are perfectly outlined; a botanist would, here, comment better than me :)
Grateful 2u, F'

Hi Chen!
Beautiful impression! Fantastic mood and fascinating lights! Excellent quality and nice composition. Splendid shot!
Thank you, nice days

Hi Chen,
Trees to me always make good impact as a feature element of photo with silhouette. Good colors and exposure. Well done. Best wishes. Danilo

Hi Chen,
I am sure one cannot last 18 hour bus journeys without magical scenes like this. Wonderful, wonderful atmosphere. Love the colour tone.

hi Chen
I can see you haven't been uploading much in the last month either.i love this one, the trees have souls as my friend says:-) and they become alive if only you see them in the right light/ i like the fact that you've chosen the trees instead of the bus, tough the eyes of the bus blink to us too, adding another element to notice in this atmosphereing light. really great.
best regards
A.

hi chen
Looking in from the forum - as unfortunately not being updated on all members at TE - including you .
This one - very interesting, a moody shot with top use of details in the compo. The silhouetted effect of the tree is just great as is the detail of the truck - general outstanding impression with the mist and light.
(...I am no in depth critiquer and not alt all for spending time on photos of no interest - so I always ending up writing about photos I like ... )

Hi Chen,
I like that one a lot, the light and atmosphere are just great.
The truck is an interesting addition in the composition, gives a sense of scale. I am not sure I would know there is actually a road there without it.
