Photographer’s Note
This was a very warm night and I couldn't sleep. I looked out of the window and saw the sky was on fire. I got up and saw the moon behind the clouds.
I Took this picture out of the window using my folded up tripod like a monopod and resting my camera against the window frame. You can see I used a slightly longer exposure as the clouds are blurred, which in my opinion adds to the effect.
I was absolutly amazed that this picture came out so well, I made no alterations all I did was resize it for trek earth.
I hope you like it, it has been a long time since I have posted any pictures here.
Looking forward to your critiques;-)

It is VERY dark Christopher - which really means that you exposure time was not long enough. Probably your metering averaged between the brightness of the moon and the darkness of the rest of the sky; hence, even with the majority of the shot underexposed, the moon still shines like the sun.
These sorts of shots are, indeed, difficult.

Colin
