Hey Carl! (is that your forename by the way?) A very interesting subject you got here, very original too. Actually I have never seen any pictures of an Indonesian cremation. Thanks for sharing this moving picture!
And welcome on TE! Was this picture taken during a vacation, or do you have any other connections to this country? Hope you have some more to share with us ;)

I liked the way that the heat makes the texture of the Pagoda looks like it was painting with sponge, with the contrast of the relatively sharp image of the flower and the bamboo.
Strong picture – well done!

A strong picture with the flames, the heat and the gold. The tower blurred by the heat is great. And then in the middle of all those everyday blue strings.

A fantastic capture! It is an interesting and rare subject and you frame it so well. The clarity of the foreground is well-captured, and the action of the blurring of the background makes the photo very interesting. I think you really saw this in a way most people would not of.

I really like the capture of the heat haze capured in good clarity shot at a good angle as to capture some background detail. The foreground detail is also very good with the golden elephant making this an interesting composition so close to the fire. The exposure is good with no detail being lost next to a bright fire.v.nice
