Photographer’s Note
Reposted to show wider angle and reduced graininess. Reduced saturation as well. And added the frame.
This shot was taken on a snorkeling trip about an hour and a half's boat ride off of the coast from Placencia, Belize. Two tiny islands in the middle of nowhere. I'm standing on one, taking a picture of the other. Got one of the worst sunburns of my life that day.
I had to brighten the shot a lot, as I over- compensated for the blinding brightness that day (taken with shutter speed of 1/2000th!!!). Cropped quite a bit from the original as well to get the natural framing of the tree.

Mike,
As I explained in my photo of the Afghan man, I'm an amateur, so I can't say much technical here - I'll just have to limit it to "wow." As my wife just said, your shot looks like a postcard (I hope u take that as a compliment :) ).

Great wide scenery shot. Very good framing to put the palm tree in the photo, otherwise the photo would look very "empty". The blue color is fantastic.

Hello!
The compositon and colors are quite lovely. I'm visiting Belize in April and hope to get some great photos as well!
