Photographer’s Note

Vesper or vespern is the german expression (mainly used in southern regions) for heaving a break with bread, wine or beer and substantial salami.

On June 06 there was a medieval festival in my hometown where enthusiasts in medieval living show exactly that kind of living (or at least what they think it was like).
On those festivals you can find knights and maiden, fools and scholars, bards and minstrels - all playing their very own special roll in this big roleplay.

It was a very sunny and hot day and around noon nobody felt the need to do very much. So I wanted to take a break, too and came along this bard and maiden. He was playing and singing old (and new) folk songs (dealing about maiden, knights, dragons, love and other things *g* ).

What I recognized was the ethnic/earthy mood on the table with all the ingredients for Vesper.
I wanted to put the stressing onto the table and use the two persons for the 'mood' only. So I took f-stop 4.5 and blurred the people out of focus. It's just a pitty the small flower hides the woman's face. But I like the shades of brown in the foreground in contrast to the bright white tents in the background.

This shot is something complete different compared to my other pictures here on TE so I am very curious what you'll say!
