Photographer’s Note
UPDATED 17/8/2006 -----------------------
Changed the title and added new paragraph.
------------------------------------------
There's already some interesting posts about "Campo Pequeno" building recently reopened in Lisbon after a major transformation from bullring to general show stage and shopping centre.
please visit "Paulo Mendonça Campo Pequeno View" and Bruno Barreiros "open day".
To view an interesting shot of the structure during the works see Astrid Koszarek "Bullring".
You can also find detailed images and information about the project for the "new" Campo Pequeno bullring in Ingenium webiste (only in portuguese).
About the photo:
I've been studying this building which I find fascinating from the arquitectural point of view. the islamic influence is felt mainly in the domes but you can find details all over the structure and I just keep finding lines and curves and ideas for taking photos.
At the same time the surroundings are modern and full of metal and alluminium structures, so I thought a good idea to explore this mix of old arquitecture and modern structure with 3 posts.
Hope you like it.

Hi Telo,
Nice colors and informing note!
I think this architecture is mainly Islamic rather than Arabic. When you say Arabic you are missing out the contributions that other Muslim nations (non-arabs like Iranians, Indians, etc.) have made to this kind of structural design.
Thanks for posting

Cumprimentos

Hi Decio!!!
I really like here three different kind of colours (sky, cupola, walls). It's probably very hard to show all building in one shot, but this one shows some part of it in a very nice way :-)
Best Regards,
Pawel
