Photographer’s Note
Oceans apart day after day
And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice on the line
But it doesn't stop the pain
If I see you next to never
How can we say forever
Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

On the Train station of Hiroshima, on a late relaxed evening... A bit dark, but that is what It was during that time here... Did a fast one, just enough time to shoot, as she kept moving around restlessly!..
A lot waiting happening there..
But curiously, it was mostly the ladies waiting for their Men!!
Applied blur in PP a bit & cropped...

hi premanand,
cool photo! this juxtaposition of the mobile phone and traditional clothes of the woman work perfectly, and the bokeh is strong enough yet not aggressive;
like this image a lot,

Despite some obvious technical difficulties, this is a nicely composed, nicely captured candid shot.
Nice!

Nice one, Prem! THe neat, flowery Yukata against the modern green of a station at night, also the contrast with the cell phone she is holding...
Color and contrast could do with a slight boost so I have posted a Workshop. Hope you don't mind...
See you later,
Francis

Nice one, a dreamy shoot, the lady seems lost ine her dream calling for help with her mobile.
She really stands out from her dream especially with her colorful dress. The neon crossing her head at the eye level enhance the dream effect.

I really would like to see natural Bokeh around..Hope Francis can give you some tips.
Well done.

Hi Prem
a dynamic tilt witha short DOF shot at the right moment to include the man stepping in the frame. Fine this traditional clothes and shoes contrasting her cellphone and the modern world around, her red dress as eyepuller.

Hi Prem, I love your character. How did you manage her (do her feet really touch the ground?) to be so clear cut off from the roaring world all around? The sense of expectation as she looks away is striking. I agree with Alain on the significant effect of the neon bursting from the halo underlining her face. We see her looks as the sun behind an eclipsed moon.
Take care, F'

Hi Prem
This is good...the tilt works great & so is the interplay between the modern & the traditional...the feel of motion in the bokehed BG adds dynamism. Good one!

Hello Prem,
Lovely image to share with us. The traditional Japanese clothes of the woman is interesting and the symbol of modern technology-the mobile in her hand creates a contrast here! The tilt is very effective here witht the blurred man just entering into the frame. Lovely one overall.
Best regards

Nice shot, Thaprem, in the Francis way; but it's yours!
Beautiful silhouette , we can imagine her unpatient, waiting for him, late as usual.
Interesting contrast between the traditionnal looking and the modern way of living.

Hello Premanand,
There's defintely a Francis touch to this photo certainly beacause of the subject and the tilt! :o)
I like the way this woman seems to create so many contrasts with her environment: her traditional kimono, the flashy red colors that stands out, her calm (as everyone around seems to be rushing around). The compo is excellent and I like the shallow DOF.

Hello Premanand,
the world is rolling around her and she is motionless...looking...a very nic epicture very well composed with this slight tilt which is adding a good dynamic.
Nice, very nice

I like the cliche you present. The hustle and bustle of the train station in behind that represents the time warp that is sometimes Japan. The young yukata/geta clad girl with traditional print and the modern fashion accessory that is the keitai.
The light around her face is unique in that its delicately highlighted by the lights from the station in behind.
Well done
Brendon
