Photographers Note
3 personal photos...This is not meant to be a "good" photo, and it's certainly not a travel photo, it's posted to participate in the theme depicting other members' residences. There are countless other better vantage points from where this view can be taken (such as Twin Peaks, Tank Hill etc.), this is the one I've been looking at every day for the last 4 years, view from my balcony before sunrise yesterday morning, normally in July this view is normally obscured by fog, but we are experiences a mini heat wave just like most of the northern hemisphere. I left the polariser on, and did not crop out the ugly black roof, because it is the reality of my view. At left is the financial district, the water is San Francisco bay, and the roof of the apartment in front of me is the large black foreground. The workshop photos will show variations. I am actively looking to buy a house and will move out of my apartment, so I will be saying goodbye to this view soon. I do not expect many "points" for this, I'm only participating in this theme.

May not be a travel photo to you but when you think of how many people in the world who have "visiting San francisco " as a dream or goal this definitly becomes a beautiful travel photo. The way the vertical row of light leads to the bay is very intersting and the financial district looks rather small and insignificant. I also like this type of shot of the city, because it shows only her beauty, not the ugliness that can be seen one close up shots. Beautiful clouds and colors on the sky.
Good luck with the house hunting, we just put in an offer in Pacifica.

Hi Tan,
I like this view. When I opened the icon I thought it might be LA.
Must be nice to have this view from your appartment. Good luck for the new house. Will be hard to find a view better than this.

Selamlar,
Üç fotoğrafta da ayrı bir güzellik, hoşluk mevcut...Gökyüzünün renkten renge, ışıktan ışığa geçmesi harika
Yaşadığın yerden bu güzellikleri görebiliyor olmak büyük şansmış. Ellerine sağlık. İyi bir haftasonu dilerim.

Salam Tan
The background is very magnificient specially in the blue hours; it's possible to make a wide panoramic view with cropping the foreground.
Thank's for your participation.

Tan, I'm in a similar situation to you in that I want to buy a house. So I understand where you're coming from but, when I see this view I have to ask, are you mad? I'll rent it when you move ;)
I know this view, or at least similar views, having been to San Francisco a few times now. And this shot is sharing something of your world so it's a worthy contribution.
The workshops are great too, the fireworks one would have made a fine 'original' posting. In the second, daylight shot, what is the hill we can see on the right side?

Hej Tan,
An impressive view you have from your balcony. I only can see some houses and gardens from mine. The lights of the city are great and the sky is also wonderful, the clouds work very nicely. Well composed too, thanks for sharing!

Hi Tan, Good to see this view as real world compared to the San Francisco bridge which is the first thought when we see the SF word. I like the lines of lights in the mid distance. Good work. Murray.

Not your greatest photo ever, but certainly a worthy addition to the theme. It helps that you live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and this is a great view - I'm sure you'll miss this when you get your house.

Hi Tan
wow, this is a very nice view! the sky has been captured at a nice time and I like the majority of black in the image, with the specks of light showing civilization and all.
Good job

Hi Tan. You have a grand view, I would love to have a sea view but I make do with a photo on the wall for now. Thanks for the insight into your world.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Tan,
I knew it had to be a sunrise shot!! I think the colors are softer in the morning; perhaps because the sky is clearer. I like the strings of lights stretching to the bay and their perpendicular relation to the clouds. HLj, Pat
