Second in a short series of pictures taken in and around London's West End on a recent trip home from Germany.
The approaching storm in the previous photo held off long enough for me to make the short walk north to Leicester Square. It broke and I took shelter under the trees in the middle of the square. Five minutes later, the street artists were back up and running again, creating their amazing portraits of the passing tourists. This guy was the most impressive.

Neat picture, good composition. I took a similar one in Covent Garden in London, only it was two children who were the subjects. Have a peek.

I admire these artists, Phillip, as they have to struggle for life under difficult conditions, sometimes, but offering us their fantastic work, like this one seems to be. Nice daily life scene, I liked it!

I am always attracted to photos of street artists, but the ones I like best are precisely the ones that show the model and the product of the artist. This qualifies nicely. I am a physicist, but also an artist, and the one aspect that creates some anxiety for me is that this is a talented draftsman who specializes in figurative work. The charicatures hanging on the left side are most likely not his work. If you had stood behind and to the left (rather than to his right), you might have included some of the man's own work. The ones hanging are a bit distracting. Nonetheless, it is a good image in that it includes the sitter and the artist's creation.

Excellent photo of the street artist and the model. This is the perfect angle to take this photo and also not always the easist angle to get due to the crowds, etc. Having her "double portrait" is a huge addition to your photo. Great work!

Hello Phillip. These pictures should get their own category. They are beautifully, alive and again and again in other way interesting and worth seeing. To see are the painter, the model, the pictures already painted, - and often also still spectators. An exemplary shot. The painting seems more beautiful than the model: -)) Best regards, Wolfgang.
