Photographer’s Note

This is a view of the dome of an Orthodox chapel in Fira (Santorini), Greece. Santorini is awesome but a little too crowdy. If you ever go there, try to stay in Oia (Ia) which is more calm and peaceful.

Fira is the modern capital of the Greek Aegean island, Santorini. "Firá", actually, is a different pronunciation of "Thira", the ancient name of the island itself.

ça fait rêver tout simplement ! j'aime beaucoup la profondeur des "bleus" et l'architecture arrondie qui se découpe parfaitement dessus.

I really like this picture, mainly because I think it's different from what you expect of a picture from Greece. This is a little softer than the whitewashed/glare look most people look for when taking pictures in Greece. I like how the curve of the roof mirrors the curve of the land in the distance. Great job!

I disagree with the earlier comment...more contrast would make the center island pop, but it would wash out the texture of the chapel.
