Photographer’s Note
A typical Beijing araptmetn block in the northern part of the capital July 17, 2006. Low-rent apartments are an essential part of China's housing security system. They are either built or sourced by the government and provided to poor urban families at discounted rents.

Natalie,
There's just not enogh substance here. Although, it has a very sad meaning and shows the daily life of the Chinese system, it is just too blend.

Hiya Natalie, I like this architectural shot, shows how conditions really are & how the workers are uniformly treated, it could be a touch sharper, perhaps run a USM over it, well captured!

Images don't need to be beautiful to say something and this one says a lot. The dull uniformity of the pattern is contrasted by the seemingly random disposition of the aircon units and by the open/closed windows. I like the photo the way it is, particularly the cropping. Well done, natalie.
