Photographer’s Note
This is taken in Ichchamoti river, close to the sunset.
As practise, the local boys are engaged in catching the prawns near the bank of the river. There is a net attached with a bamboo stick. There is a string, that is to be pulled to move the net through the water. The prawns try to flee against it due to this artificial-disturbance and unfortunately get trapped. One has to run this process for a long-time to catch a substantial amount. Though quite-inovative but crude fashion, but this is one of the popular rural-ways for catching small fishes in this part of the Bengal. You can buy these fresh-fishes readily from them. Quite cheaper than local markets.

Hi Somnath,
Wonderful capture. The colors are great, the POV and the angle of shooting are excellent. I like the silhouette, it produces magic into this pic. Well done.
