Inside the famous department store GUM
(Gosudarstvenniy Universalniy Magazin).
Photos from outside at night and more information can be found here and here.

A second version with a slightly tighter crop and
rotation of 0,3° to the left due to complaints
about a "little slant to the right" can be found under the Workshop.

Hi Thorsten!

Looks like an amazing place. The photo has a lot of interest and detail and your sharpness is good. It seems to me like its a little slanted to the right though.

Hi Thorsten,
Multistory department stores are not the easieat places to photograph as it is always difficult to choose an angle and cut.I had a go at the Azrieli building in Tel Aviv and didn't find it so easy. You though have done a fine job catching the symetrics and really accentuating the intricate architecture with its shapes, lines and angles. The bright light coming through the roof is a lovely bonus.I like your reference to the other images.A good evening to you my friend.

Hi Thorsten,
That place looks huge and amazing. Is it new? It looks French/Italian style. Good symetry and sharpness! Gilbert

Hi Thorsten
a fine detailled clear converging perpspective shot, marvellous to see all the details and the play of sunlight and shadow in it.
A very high quality shot rarely seen as such on TE, I like this slight outcentering as centering beomes almost a common evidence. The WS looses sharpness quality.
Outstanding, I hope this gets a lot of attention.

Excellente photo de ce lieu qui n'est pas facile à photographier compte tenu des différences de luminosité des différentes parties de l'image. Très belle perspective. Très réussi

Hi Thor,
that's amazing place! hard to believe it's not a palace but a megastore! I like the symetry and dof which allows to see the details of the building.

I like the architecture of it and the metalwork. I was there 13 years ago, feeling nostalgic, like s_a_s_h_a. TFS, nice perspective. (Shhh: I like this photo more than S's workshop. :))
