Photographer’s Note

I had always wanted to take pictures of lightning before but I've never had a chance. But there was a really cool thunderstorm that passed by here last night. There was lightning literally every 1/2 second. There was an inch of rain in a few minutes. I got to watch the thunderstorm build all afternoon. You can see that picture here. I took about 200 pictures and this one is the best. I had to take it with my Dad's camera because mine broke. Before this bolt of lightning struck it was completely dark, you couldn't see those trees or anything. The only thing you could see were the lights. Then the lightning lit up the whole sky. I did some postprocessing to make it look better. There is something I like about the original version. It was pitch black, and when the lightning struck, it's like it turned night into morning. This version doesn't seem to show the power of the lightning as much. Feedback is appreciated.
