Photographer’s Note
While touring the country side near teh Hmong village of Maung Kham i stopped by a traditional weaving shop. Here young village girls are taught the trade of weaving in the traditional style using hand looms.
Thry make some beautiful work.
this girls was making an intricate design using hundreds of colours.
SHe stopped her work to come out and look at me through the window of the shop.
I tried to darken the background as much as possible but because the photo was taken from inside a dark room towards a window it was a little difficult.
If anyone wants to try a workshop to show me how to make a nicer background please do.
