Photographer’s Note
When one thinks of the Mezquita in Cordoba, one visualizes a mosque with hundreds of marble columns with round arches with alternating red and white slabs.
There's more to it than arches though. Part of the Moorish legacy that was preserved during the Reconquest by the Catholic kings is this room.
As was the case in many of the ancient places we visited, no flash or tripod was allowed. I think I have mastered the art of holding my breath while I shoot to keep the camera steady.
