Photographer’s Note

This is one of the flowers which are currently blooming in the Victorian Garden in Farmleigh House.

Farmleigh House is a stately home in Phoenix Park, Dublin, the largest city park in Europe. It used to belong to the Guinness family, but was bought by the Irish State in, 1999, I think. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, and attached to it are extensive grounds and a couple of gardens, including a walled Victorian Garden which includes thousands of different plants.

I've a mixed relationship with close up shots. I have a macro lense which I haven't still gotten to terms with. This was taken using the standard lense which I got with the camera.
