beautiful colours & contrast in this excellent "executed" composition...you managed to get the feeling of the season very well with this red poppy foreground...good note which reminds that many of the so called pagan traditions were later adapted & used by christianity when it took over...cheers, arturo

Great joy of live in this photo Christian, the houses give a special touch that I like. I also like how the colors get accidentaly organized: Blue-Red and a bit of white and green in the middle. I like it.

This is a really good shot Christian. The composition is very good and the poppies fill the forground beautifully.
I can't help thinking that this would have been even better if you had used a polariser. A deep blue sky would have given this excellent shot even greater impact.

Hi Christian, excellent shot. A poppy field is on my list of things to photograph but don't think I will get to do it this year. You have shown this one very well. I like you vertical approach to the composition and the way you have shown the building and trees just above the flowers.However I think I would have shown more of the flowers at the bottom of the frame and less sky at the top. Beautiful colours and lighting.
