Photographer’s Note

Horse Working:
This picture is about the transportation in the Malecon de Santo Domingo. The background is the Caribbean Sea. I took this picture to show you the daily activity that this horses are doing in my country and to think about the combinatin between the transportation with animals like the old times.
I hope you like it, and enjoy my interpretation using this beautiful composition.

In B&W this is simply beautiful. Excellent POV with the sea in the BG. I like it!

Interesting job, Sergio,
but such a closed cut on the carriage requires to my opinion a flat panorama. In this portrait the eye looks for a palm that there isn't.
However not so bad...

Una foto en B&W con muy buena definicion y detalles, la composicion la encuetro muy bien lograda aunque estoy de acuerdo con la clonacion del poste del tendido electrico.

Hi Sergio,
This is a very effective shot, nice use of black and white. It gives a good documentary view of this mode of transport and black and white seems appropriate for a historical subject, still in use today. I like the way the horse and carriage fill the frame, but a slightly wider crop to give a little more space around the subject might have worked well too, and perhaps include a bit more of the crown of the palm tree.

Lovely shot of the vehicle and the sea behind! I like it in black and white and the framing. Perhaps it may be even better if the pine tree is not cut out. Congratz!

Its fantastic Sergio. BW is a nice choice. and your concern about using animals is good. It is good atleast using animals are limited to fun these days.
