Photographer’s Note
It Stoned Me
Half a mile from the county fair
And the rain keep pourin' down
Me and Billy standin' there
With a silver half a crown
Hands are full of a fishin' rod
And the tackle on our backs
We just stood there gettin' wet
With our backs against the fence
Oh, the water
Oh, the water
Oh, the water
Hope it don't rain all day
And it stoned me to my soul
Stoned me just like Jelly Roll
And it stoned me
And it stoned me to my soul
Stoned me just like goin' home
And it stoned me
Then the rain let up and the sun came up
And we were gettin' dry
Almost let a pick-up truck nearly pass us by
So we jumped right in and the driver grinned
And he dropped us up the road
We looked at the swim and we jumped right in
Not to mention fishing poles
Oh, the water
Oh, the water
Oh, the water
Let it run all over me
And it stoned me to my soul
Stoned me just like Jelly Roll
And it stoned me
And it stoned me to my soul
Stoned me just like goin' home
And it stoned me
On the way back home we sang a song
But our throats were getting dry
Then we saw the man from across the road
With the sunshine in his eyes
Well he lived all alone in his own little home
With a great big gallon jar
There were bottles too, one for me and you
And he said Hey! There you are
Oh, the water
Oh, the water
Oh, the water
Get it myself from the mountain stream
And it stoned me to my soul
Stoned me just like Jelly Roll
And it stoned me
And it stoned me to my soul
Stoned me just like goin' home
And it stoned me

Hi Paolo
I think ou ust be a very romantic soul with a great affection for moody photos - at least this one is another fine example of the moody settings you presents. Interesting here is the date - looks like summer but is dec. 2004..
Good placement of details included - well disposed compo

Hi Poalo,
I agree with jack. I think we can tell a lot about what people are like byt heir photos. You have the soul of a sailor for sure. I like the light a lot and as usual the colors. Sharpness seems a bit lacking but th overall effect is pleasing.

Nice colours and contrast here Paolo. I would have cropped a little off the top of the sky, but not so much that the horizon ends up in the middle.

Captured just as the sun disappeared, this is a beautiful image. The tiny boat and people serve to show the large scale of the view. Wonderful colours reflected in the sea.

Hello Paolo,
superb lying of sun, magnificiently made up and with the natural colors. I think that one the higher third part of the sky is in excess (see my WS).

Ciao Paolo,
A very good song to compliment a very good photo. You know that I love sunset/sunrise images and this is such a fine exemple of one of those. I enjoy how the blues get from dark to so light. Again, a very good use of proportions.
Buono giorno, Paul

The colors are just great and the different tones going through the composition with the sun going down in serenity, that's beautiful. Even if I don't do landscape's pictures, I always fascinated by the beauty of nice pictures.

Ciao Paolo,
Ciao e buona notte.
