[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I am told that there are not often spectacular sunsets in the area, particularly as it goes from day to night so abruptly. I think, in that case, I have been very fortunate.

Much of the work in this photo, I must confess, was done by the camera itself.

The fish are public art. They are located at Cairns Lagoon, a water facility near to the city centre on the sea front. The beaches in the Cairns area are all to the north of the city. This was built to provide an outdoor facility within the city itself. When I was there, unfortunately, the Lagoon was drained of water for maintenance.

Beautiful fire sky, very incredible!

Hello Treasa,
nice sky and sunset clouds. The Esplanade looks very dark indeed - almost like a blackout. If you'd choosen a lower level POV shifting the metal fishes up in the sky the effect would have been even more dramatid.

Hi Treasa,
This is a wonderful capture. Superb colours. The sky looks very dramatic.
