There are many freshwater lakes in Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world. This lake is the lake Wabby. It's a green lake and it's 40m deep.

This shot was taken from a forest track which start on the edge of the lake.

Hi Loic,
A stunning shot! The darker foreground trees make a huge feature in this extensive image. The stil of the water and the percentage of light are well managed. Funny that there is just a couple of people on the lake shore, unlike the time I visited this lake. I think I should scan the film shot my father has taken of this place a few years ago. Did you know that this lake in being overtaken by that sandune, and eventually, the lake will be totally covered in sand. A good shot!
