Photographer’s Note
It was a grey and rainy day here today. I went outside determined to take some pictures of waterdrops or find something to capture. I found a bed of Irises in the yard and found this bud just about ready to open up. I believe these particular Irises are totally white. I'll hopefully get a good chance to capture it when it opens.

Very attractive macro Stephen. The picturesque background and its colour toning really brings out the Iris! I love it, also the softness. Very well done!

You're months ahead of us in your floral arrivals Stephen. No iris for us will burst from its bud like this one until late May.Wonderful capture with the fresh droplets.

Nice shot Stephen. I think it needs some sharpness but it is wonderful.
Well done!

Flower buds always makes me long for spring. I look forward to see another shot of this flower once it opens up :). The flower bud really stands out agsint the background, your DoF is very good. It looks really sweet and innocent.

This is really interesting - I've been meaning to make a constructive comment, but what can I say? The background is great, since it helps us to focus on the light colors of the bud and leaf, and the bud itself is a great post for this time of year, if it is too early for folks further north. ;o) The only thing I don't like is the frame, because to me it is to much for the simplicity of the subject. I look forward to seeing this flower open if you can get a good shot of it then. Happy spring!
