Photographer’s Note
I happened to "choose" one of the driest summers, both in Europe and North America, to cross the Atlantic and travel around with my "world tripping" girlfriend through Canada and a tiny bit of the United States as well. When I was going to fly there anyway, I just HAD to go to Yellowstone.
While travelling around in wonder of all the natural beauty, I experimented quite a bit with the fisheye. After developing the film the pictures sometimes turned out to be surprising. This one is from the well known geyser called Old Faithful, since it goes off on a regular basis, once every 90 minutes or so... The colours are "compressed" in a way due to the 180 degree field of view, which makes the blue a very deep one. Good thing is that the sun remains a very small point of light, not over shining the rest of the scene.... Oh, not to mention the bonus with such a wide angle: I wasn't alone!!!
