Photographer’s Note
Laying on the beach at Grand Popo for days on end, occasionally catching sight of passing dolphins, this stump, endlessly baking in the sun and sometimes used as one end for a hammock, didn't catch my attention, having to compete with crashing waves, beautiful sunsets and books. But one day, I look up from a mid-day slumber, and recognised a stubborn just-there-ness.

A picture just for me, I didn't expect such an honour! ;-)
This one looks great, the little rope hanging from the staff is interesting and the background superb.
I have been to Grand Popo indeed, though unfortunately it was a very cloudy day, so the place didn't look as beautiful as in your picture. I also was very moved by the old colon village, all those abandoned big houses, with lot of History stored in them, it was disturbing.
Concerning your last pic, to reduce the size of my pics I use Photoshop: I reduce the pixel length to 800 and then adjust the jpg compression (while saving my pic) to be just below the 200ko limit.
Thanks for your post very much and see you soon!
Antho
