Photographer’s Note
This machine was unattended on a pile of rocks that were no wider than the vehicle itself. The rocks serve as a wave barrier for when Lake Ontario kicks up a storm. I am not sure how the vehicle got out there. People use the calm waters in the foreground for rowing, canoeing, dragon-boating, and sometimes swimming. The water is not always calm as my wife who tipped a single skull recently can attest.

Awesome shot. I love the silhoutte of the digger and the land, it makes the photo much more powerful.
What time of the day were you shooting? Im not sure if that is dusk or Toronto's pollution creating the mood. Regardless, well done!

Great composition, you have managed good depth in this image. The colours and exposure have given this a lovely atmosphere also.
TFS Cheers, Paul.

Warren,
Waiting for a bird to show up at the right place makes a huge difference in this shot.
