Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken a few minutes after one of my previous northern lights photos posted on TE. When leaving the car in a hurry to shoot photos of the intense northern light I managed to lock myself out. Because of that I took some extra time making photos around the car after making the northern lights photos I came for. This photo was one of those I made while waiting for assistance from a friend with tools. Not much of a nature shot of the phenomenon but a good documentation of the hunt for aurora shots. In the background you can see the Grótta lighthouse in Seltjarnarnes.

Hi Fredrik,
Amazing! I almost not believe it was true, the texture and color seem as if a silk sheet had falen from the sky. The withe car on the foregroung worked very well in the composition offering some contrast to the amazing sky's color. Northem lights are one of the things I must see at least once in my life! Your pictures showing this fenomenum are really beatifull. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Regards,
Flavia

Hey Fredrik
What a gracefully displayed lights from mother nature. The action of the curving lights is well captured while maintaining the sharpness of the jeep.
A very mustical shot, Fredrick.

Wow! Stunning photo, with the framed filled up nicely. It's a shame the car isn't completely lit up; since it's there, it would be nice to see the front better. Still, that's not the main focus, of course. Great stuff!

I can't find words at the moment to describe how wonderful this photo is.. The white light on the vehicel makes it look like from outerspace and the whole composition gets the extracellestial atmosphere.. Regards, Tomasz

This seems perfect for advertising the car !
A wonderful as usual photo, I just wonder why the small distortion in the lower left of the image, just on the car wheel.. maybe caused by the (wide angle) optic ?
regards,
Alberto.

this is spectacular. In our latitudes it is next to impossible to find a starred sky like this. The Northern Light is of course unknown here. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Fredrik,
I am "green" with envy! ;) The sort of waxing and waning green that is on your photo
What an opportunity you grasped here!
Only nit, I kept wanting to remove the "dust specks" from my screen ;)
Well done, Jay
