Photographer’s Note
At one end of the beach an estuary enters the sea. The sand bar this creates makes the ideal shape for waves to peel along.
Northland's East Coast has many sandy beaches and headlands that make for good surfing conditions.

Ah what a super shot Tony. So this is Whangaroa, the waves look great rolling in like this. You caught the surfer right on the wave, and the size of the lady gives us a good idea of distances. I love seeing the cliff and plants in the BG. Well done,
