Photographer’s Note
Everyday the colours of the sea change from a fluro blue to green and on big days just black. I like the clear days when the light can shine through the wave.I used my cannon eos 300 with a 300mm lends. In this wave it looks as if it is alive and wants to grab you and pull you in! Thankyou Richard.

Whoa!!! Jaws ain't the half of it. Spectacular is what this is - gravity, color, contrast and compositional drama. Well done.

Hi Richard,
What an amazing capture. Great timing to capture nature's fury at its best. I am simply spellbound. I can think of comparing this with only one other image I had come across on TE a couple of days back. It was titled 'Wolfman'. Guess who the photographer was :)

Splendide photo ou l'on voit le mouvement de la vague mais sans baisse de netteté de la base de la vague... incroyable aussi l'effet de la forte focale que tu as employé. J'adore.

This photo is so powerful, almost intimidating. My favorite part is the middle of the wave where the sun shines through. That blue is magnificent.

This is so amazing! The fact the you froze it is so unnatural because this is supposed to be going fast with a big noise. This is so very inspiring but we don't have wave like these. ): Thanks! G

Hi Richard, Its hard to choose which of you waves is the best. Today I like this one the most, because of the phantastic color of the water. Nice composition, the rocky foreground adds even more 3D. Congratullations. Well done. Cheers, Michael

A very powerful image. Was the white area at the top of the wave achieved through exposure?

I just wonder how you do this! It's an amazing photo - but as I see your gallery, it's a piece of cake for you. Great thriller atmosphere and beautiful colours. If I ever see such waves, I'll try to make an imitation of your pictures cause even a poor one would be great to show my friends:)
Regards,
K
