At a Buddhist high school set up in one of the temples. Although these young novices live difficult lives, begging for alms, long hours of study, they are like teenagers anywhere--curious, shy, and playful.

The expression on his face is very powerful. We can read on his face the feelings you described in your note : shy but curious. You caught a photo of a children more than a photo of a monk. Great compo and great picture.

This is a vey gentle portrait LK. IT is composed well, between two pillrs and the moddling of the light on the face is very good.He is a novice, of course, not a monk, and the lives of these novices is not so different from ordinary kids. Regards Kevin

Nice composition, the saffron of the monk syncs nicely with the pillar he is leaning on. Good POV. Having seen lots of Buddhist monks in India, I agree with your observation.

Beautiful image of the novice. I like his smiling face and the way the orange robe covers his body. Really nice composition of the portrait. Good colours and light.

This is a wonderful compo...the shyness of the monk is all there to see. His long view is amazing & the contrast provided by his robe adds so much. Lovely one!
