Along Yellowstone lake there are a number of thermal areas. This is a view of one just north of West Thumb. I caught this on a quiet morning.

Hi Mike,

first i thought it's some kind of a forest fire...this place look steaming and very interesting...i admire the natural colours and the atmosphere here...not sure if a try with vertical frame and with less water and more trees would increase the feeling...cheers, arturo

I would have liked to see this in vertical format. Nice shot. I like the reflection of the steam. Looks like the wake of a steam ship from some by-gone era.

Your shot gives the viewer and impression of calm and gentleness. The reflection is beautiful. Must be an amazing place to visit and your shot shows that getting up early is the thing to do to achieve good shots.
