These are barges on the top canal ready to be taken down to the lower basin with the wheel, i have an image of the wheel from the basin looking up on treklens aswell if you would like to see what it looks like :0)

A very strange view of this canal in the air. I surely would like to see the barge lift (you can post it as a workshop to your own picture, for example). Good perspective and colors.

Hi Jim,
I really like this shot because it captures the sense of sailing into space when approaching the wheel from above. Most shots (including mine) focus on the amazing structure from below.
Your control of exposure here is spot on - did you use a grad to hold back the sky?
The saturation is really very good too!
Your gallery is pretty promising, keep up the good work.

i think this is the nicest pic of the place.
could be a bit wider, but shows everything about that place (if one already knows what's behind it).

didn't know this thin existed until i saw one picture of it in trekearth!
