hey orhan ... i have to say that this is an awesome shot.
the arabic writing is so big, bold and clean. it's very impressive to look at. the old men on the seat give the shot some really nice character and also give us a clear indication of how big the arabic script really is.
very wise choice to desaturate this shot. the black and white works really well.
brilliant shot. very very well done!

Hi Orhan.
I appreciate the photographic quality of the image, the way sitting people really give strong aspect to it, the graphism made even stronger with the usage of BW. I agree with David, Brilliant!

Hi Orhan,
Very nice composition and good choice to use B&W. Arabic writing is so aesthetic and, in this case, so big, that it adds quality to the shot. I also like the presence of the four men sitting there.
Nice job!
Quentin.

I tihnk this is really nice. The positioning of the script on the wall and the four men is just about perfect. I wish the top left corner wasn't as busy as it is, but not much that could be done. Very nice shot.

I agree that this work is superb. The sheer graphism of the writing is great but just the meaning of the word is what adds the real meaning and that deep dimension to this. Allah overpowers and overlooks the people. Big, strong compo. Congrats.

Well I always love foreign writing, and Arabic is definitely one of my favourites. Love the boldness of the lettering here, brilliant shot Orhan.

Hi Orhan, this is a very powerful photo which works beautifully in B&W. The small size of the men illustrates nicely how small man is in relation to the greater universe. Well done. Stephen

Wonderful. The graphism provided by the writing is very striking. Arabic is really a beautiful language with its undulating style. The fact that the people there is so tiny contrasts well with the writing and gives an extra character to the scene. Very good.

Hello Orhan, I like a lot the composition: it's like a comic, with the text above the people's heads...
Best regards,

Hello Orhan,
The huge script on the old Mosque of Edirne is certainly an excellent background, and these guys chatting on the bench before praying time are very well chosen and caught.

Hi Orhan,
This is a wonderful photo, both as a daily life picture of the men and the very interesting composition including the big writting.
Just my humble opinion about your phrase. You wrote:
"The writing means Allah in arabic".
I would write:
"The writing means God in Arabic".
But don't worry. It's just a linguistic detail, that most people don't notice. In most "Western" languages we use the Arabic word Allah when refering to God of the Islamic religion.
By the way, in my language, Portuguese, we have the word Allah inside other word. We say "oxalá", which has the same meaning of the Arabic "in shā allāh". You know, Portugal was during several centuries under islamic rule, therefore we have a few Arabic words in our language.
Greetings,
Francisco
