Photographer’s Note
The Kalyana Mandapa or the Marriage Hall was unfinished by the builders, before he was punished. The hall has no roof, only 38 stand-alone pillars with intricate sculptures. The Kalyana Mandapam is a standing monument to the exuberance of Vijayanagar art
Note the sculpture of the bull Nandi, Shiva’s vahana (vehicle) on one of the pillars (enlarged view in WS) & also in the skyline between the two gopuras.
In the WS I have posted a close-up of the same setting to have a better viewing of the sculpture details

You could write a thesis on Lepakshi temple, Angshuman! May be you should consider doing it seriously!

A nicely exposed shot to allow us to see the extent of this monument, taken from a good POV. There's a strong diagonal in the foreground. Nice work,
Best wishes

Gem of a picture, Mr Chatterjee.
The perspective, depth of view and effective use of ambient light highlight the beautiful facets of this view you have described in your well-written brief note.

Another very good one, Angshu. This perspective is not so impressive, but still have a wonderful display of scuptured itens of this unfinished Hall. Good framing, good note and amazing lighting and sharpness as usual. Also thank you for the closer approach in WS.
Friendly regards,

Hi Angshu,
very nice perspective of this site. The colors are soft and gently and the overall quality of the shot is very good. I like a lot the WS 'cause of the very well visible details of the sculptures. Thank you and best regards!

Hi Angshu,
Like Mark, I like the way you've framed this shot with the diagonal in the foreground and the nicely balanced view of the whole pavillion. Your excellent light management has captured good detail from the carvings on the pillars to the clouds. Just as I was wishing to see more detail of the tower, I was able to click onyour WS and see it.

I see the bull of the pillar in the back, clearer than the other stones. The two gopuras (if this is the name of the pagodas shaped constructions) seem to be very nice and well preserved. A different view compared to the others, since it is outside with a nice weather and blue sky. Perhaps more joyfull and less religious for this mariage hall...
All the best,
Emmanuel
