Another picture of Igreja de Jesus, Setúbal.
Finished around 1490, this small church and his monastery were the first experiences in Portugal to build accordingly to the "Manuelino" style (The word is related with the name of the king D. Manuel).
Now suffering from severe degradation, the church decorative motifs are all related with boats and the discoveries, with columns rope shaped and rich textures on the ceiling.
A pannel with exquisite tiles (azulejos) can also be found here. I will post another photo taken inside the church, soon.
