Photographer’s Note

A Clown
Stands with his back
Against the wall
Within the confines
Of my bathroom.
There he observes all
That surrounds
His only dwelling known
He wears a painted smile
Upon a sadden frown.
He displays sadness
With a deep sorrow
In his eyes
Yet I see no tears
He just stands there
Always bringing me cheers.

My heart breaks
Each time I stare at him
Specially when I hum him
A happy hymn
My desires are, to realease him
For this is not his prison
So he may, wander on his own
But he won't
You see!
My house has become
His home.

Still he stands
With his back to the wall
Viewing all that occurs
Sad eyes
Still set deep upon his face
Unable to cry
Never making a sound
when no one is around
My magical little Clown
But at times
A tear falls from my eyes
Due to his broken heart
For he is unable to cry.

I had photographed this child at the time of the Carnival of Oyonnax in 2003 and I reposte it today (new framing, levels, clearness...).

By hoping that you like the modifications.
