Photographer’s Note
So beautiful and so dangerous, this dry place conceals life although the medium is hostile, insects and reptiles are the hosts of the place.

Great flat perspectiev you got here, Chris! The vivid colors combined with the play of shadow and light is so intense, especially with the blue skies as an additional contrast.
Well done!

Bonsoir Christian,

Nice use of shadows and light. Would never think that a desert could look like that. The way the sand steps up to a center point and the blue sky above it also gives the photo nice depth.

Wonderful use of light. Stunning colour. Namibia is one of those places you have to see for yourself. Never thought a desert can be so beautiful until I saw it.

Great use of shadows. I might have included a little less sky because it's a bit flat.

Hello Christian,
An amazing image with all the distinct tones of the shadows and light. Very good PoV as you have layered the dunes very nicely. Excellent DoF.......

Christian,
The range of earth tones in this shot is amazing. It gives great texture to the image. Like Phillip, I would suggest less sky (and more dunes !). Well done !

Hi Christian,
Wonderful picture...nature at its best.
Have you seen insects and reptiles and were you able to photograph these creatures?
Greetings,

Bonjour Christian!

Hi Christian -marvelleous light, the shadows bring out the best aspects of the geometry of the dunes. I was not able to see such a low light when I visited because of the opening hours of the park and distance to accomodation.
