Photographer’s Note
When I was doing PP work, I noticed that the tree in the background would turn black except for where the sun had bounced off its leaves- I liked it like that. It reminded me of stars- a whole new constellation.

Rosie,
Beautiful!
Once again (as with the track meet) you've given your subject a wonderful, huge, open space to play in.
Excellent point of view, especially for a shot of a child, putting the camera at the child's height so we feel it more from her point of view.
And of course that's a neat trick with the tree... a great effect.
You are getting some great dynamic shots lately, I notice, whether it's with whole body movement or just an animated facial expression.

Hey Rosalie,
An interesting angle you have shot this one at, I feel like I'm laying down on the ground. You have also caught the girl at the perfect moment. Well done.

Hi Rosalie!
I totally agree with Francis (Furachan)! This is so nice! Your vision is unique, fresh, creative and full of poetry. In this picture, it is the pure spirit of childhood, in an almost abstract shot. You have my admiration.

Poetry In Motion...So skillfully presented to us.
So very few of such works around here, that it's a treasure even for the most discriminating of us.
Good night,Rosie...and thanks...

Rosie,
A gorgeous shot. Beautiful light and i love the way you lead us to the girl and all those shining leaves. The DoF is perfect and your placement and compostion is faultless. Simply a stunning image poetic, subltle but a perfect moment captured. Got to agreee with Francis this ones going straight into the faves.
Cheers

Wow... I really like this one. You used the light well, in the trees as you mention in your note, but also in catching her just as she ran into the light. Such a static, left leaning composition suddenly encounters the girl, and her running even bends the lines on the ground toward her.
Nice work!

Oh, she's running into a sky filled with stars. Perhaps she will continue her journey on the tail of a comet and into a dreamy land in a far away galaxy. Another poem in your visual book.

Hey Rosie
You know pretty well that I admire your style, so i will keep my mouth shut about that.
But I do want to say that I love the way light seems to be highlighting the hair of this girl.
I also took the photo with somewhat similar POV few days back that I wanted to shared with you in the WS, i hope you won't mind about that.
What else can I say ... hmmm .... well I finally bought a DSLR, and it is a RebelXT (I am not sure if I will stick with it).
okay ... bye for now and have a good day
chau .... sarju
PS: Your photos make me break my hiatus with TE .... good stuff

This is nothing short of brilliant Rosie. I say this without an ounce of flattery but your work is vetry distinctive (and distinguished) and I would personally love to see it printed out LARGE in some gallery. I would not be surprised to see that many agree with me here.
The way you use the vertical frame here, Rosie...the way our eyes skate up,up, all the way to the girl at the top, is frankly pretty amazing. A FAV of mine for sure.
I look at this and I feel a bit "crude" you know, posting all these brutal street shots of scowling monks in the hot sun and such.
Thank God you're here, eh?
Francis

Hi Rosie, Brilliant poetry in this absolutely top notch photography! I love how you have chosen for this low pov, leading the eye carefully all the way through to the girl that is marvelously positioned in your composition. I love also how the girl just reaches the warm spot of sunlight. Sublime work! Sabine

Bonjour Rosalie,
Superbe photo, j'aime beaucoup la compostion, son cadrage, le choix du noir et blanc, le mouvement de la petite fille courant dans la lumière... C'est très réussit !

Hi Rosie - we wait months for you post some new images & you delight us with this kind of thing! It really is a superb shot, the B&W conversion is excellent, the idea of stars in the background is great & suits the scene. The viewpoint is also really good. I have no more words, it's just brilliant :)
P.S. - I'm in agreement with Furachan - this image deserves a bigger audience!

Excellent, the low pov gives so much power to this capture. All the lines, curves seem direct us to her.

I really like this one. Very full of life. the running girl is well caught and just as she is entering the light. The "stars" are quite intriguing and thought provoking. the DOF is great.
with the leading of your title she looks as if she is running on a mayan calendar or something.
I really enjoyed it.

Bonjour Rosalie,
It's truely a fascinating image!
Further than a composition that perfectly works, there is the unusual idea translated in the point of view, and the precise moment of shooting.
I read Francis'words and my thought came very close to that. A huge print would certainly fit any gallery wall! You're good... :o)

Wow, really nice Rosie!
Beautiful minimalism here. Almost white ground with just a few lines, a very nice black background without many details and in all that you have that girl. We are ofcourse drawn to her because she stands out in this simple environment as this energetic ball of youth, but also how she is framed by the light. This is beautiful work.

another poetic image, i appreciate your sensitivity in your shots a lot generally Rosalie.. and this one is a good example..
i love your low POV here and symbolism: the way kids reaches to the edge of the image is simply excellent!
Cheers.

Well it's good to be back. I haven't posted for a while due to families, friends, work, play etc etc taking up all of my time. It was great that the first picture I looked at was this one; magical! I love the way the little girl is illuminated in the solitary patch of sunlight. She reminds me alot of my 6 year old daughter, always running! I tried it one day, I was wasted after 10 minutes.........I must get more exercise:-)

Perfect timing, Rosalie, catching the girl's leg up and her hair flying. I really like the very original framing, too. (Who says the subject should always be entering the picture?) The light on the girl is a little bit "hot", but that's quite minor. Nicely done, you're very creative! Regards, Ken.

Hi Rosalie,
I like very much, the low POV is excellent.
I've the impression that she's on an other planet or in the space, the title is well chosen.
The girl is on the right place, where the light is good.
Well done

hey rosie,
great shot and really appeals to my sense of framing. the lines in the foreground bend nicely and lead us to the girl against the dark background.
a very well constructed shot.
there are some great photos in your gallery. i'm enjoying looking through them.

Hi Rosalie,
Great photo,
I like the movement implanted in the photo for the race of the photographed person and for the risks of the soil. The clearness of the photo is excellent such as the framing and the POV.
