| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a shot from Canyonlands N.P., in the Needles District. I backpacked throughout this section of the park for 5 days, it was one of the best trips I have ever been on. Along the tops of the ridges occasionally you would walk past these windows, which I thought were really beautiful. I sat up by this one and rested for a while, it was completely silent- almost eerie.
I adjusted the contrast a little bit on this picture, mostly to define the foreground from the background. |

Great viewpoint. The shape of the opening in the rock makes a near perfect frame. It's good to see detail retained in the foreground rocks without the main subject or sky being burnt out.
It's a pity you didn't use the full 800 pixel width and I also think the black frame is too heavy particularly at this size.
