Photographer’s Note
Byrd's Nest is a historic cabin in Skyland Resort within Shenandoah National Park, located 2 hours outside Washington, D.C. The cabin was occupied by a Mr. Byrd and was part of a resort settlement circa 1920.
This cabin is really gorgeous. It looks much smaller in the picture than it really is. I had to cut out the right side because there's an unsightly fire hose box painted bright red that the park service requires be located on every building.
I re-posted this after I got some of the noise out and then had to make it a bit smaller.

Blurry, but a nice shot. I can tell the place is lovely, and would like to see more of it. Maybe since you cropped the side of the bldg. the above should have been cropped as well, as the building is the focal point? The sky does shine a bit right through the branches. It may need a slght rotation to the left as well. I like the colors and the natural scattering of leaves all round. Good note. You'll just have to go back and try again - and how could going back to that lovely place be a burden? ;)
