Photographer’s Note

Voici la cascade de Skógafoss, dans le sud de l'Islande. D'une hauteur de 60 mètres, elle se situe au pied du glacier Eyjafjallajokull.
Il est possible de grimper au sommet afin de la contempler d'en haut.
Une image que je resors du fond de mon disque dur !

La lumière est somptueuse, on dirait qu'un projecteur est dirigé sur cette cascade. belle image.

This is really nice Vincent. I just wish the bottom left wasn't quite so dark; I can't help but wonder what this would look like had you moved closer to the waterfall. Colors are great and you caught a really nice sky too. Good shot.

Sacrées couleurs! C'est du brut de coffrage ou retravaillé?

Cette photo est superbe, mais vu les ombres sur le sol, on pourrait s'attendre à un ciel plus fourni, ce qui n'aurait pas nuit à la photo sans doute.

Comme je le disais il y a juste une minute dans ma critique précédente, l'Islande m'a toujours fasciné. Cette île regorge d'endroit extraordinaires et ta photo en est la preuve! Magnifiques couleurs. Excellentes composition, et netteté et, alors là chapeau, superbe luminosité! Bien content qu'elle soit ressortie de ton disque :-)

Wonderful composition with deep color tones. I love these green/blue dualities. The waterfall adds extra points to the photo as it does the gray winding road. Love the sense of grand scale in this scene. Well done.

Bonjour Vincent. La lumière est étonnante, j'aime beaucoup ce que ça donne.
Je ne retiendrai surement pas le nom du glacier, ni de la cascade, mais elle vaut le coup d'oeil (perdu dans la verdure comme ça, c'est un paysage qu'on ne rencontre pas partout).

This shot really makes me want to go to Iceland. Great contrasts between grass and sky thanks to the polarizer. I think you've exposed it very well, bringin out the sunlit portion of the grass. Beautiful!

Très jolie la cascade, j'aime bien aussi les jeux de lumière / ombre dans la verdure ainsi que le chamin ui ondule vers le haut.
Je suppose que la vue vers le glacier ne doit pas être mal de la haut?

Such is the clatity of the light and the simplicity of the colours and composition that this almost appears artificial.It is however a beautifull composed shot with gorgeous lighting.

Mais qu'est-ce qu'il va nous rechercher comme trésor !?
Encore une fois c'est somptueux et le jeu de luimère et d'ombres est magnifique.
Je trouve ton idée de cadrage et de pdv très fort, on s'y croirait.
Splendide comme la chutte ressort et les couleurs sont à couper le soufles.

Amazing take, Vincent! The colors are just so vivid and full of life, it looks like a dream (or garden of eve??). Serenity at it's best! The distant waterfall, the quiteness of loneliness, the evergreen grass and the neat gravel path give the feeling of perfection.
Well captured, with good positioning of the path developing from the lower right side toward the left side.

c'est tout bonnement magnifique, je suis scotché.
le regard n'en finit pas de suivre ces sentiers, flane dans l'herbe, file sur le sentier, s'arrête à la cascade et reprend son ascension vers des nuages évanescents.

Wow--Very powerful and simple composition. I like what you did with the lighting and shadow contrast on the foreground hill. Everything seems to lead to the waterfall which is still slightly obscured, giving a little bit of a mysterious feel to the picture, drawing me in just a little bit further.

Vincent, the saturated colors and the smooth atmosphere were the secret of this beautiful frame. Like other picture yours this one has an excellent theme worked and very interesting point of view.

Well, I officially want to go to Iceland now.
The green and blue are beautiful, but the patches of sunlight are what help make this pop. I really like the compo with the road wandering up that lovely hill and the waterfall placed so it seems that its just something you would casually pass by. Great job- its a beautiful scene.

a lovely photo of the skogarfoss. i went there this april and it wasn't as beautiful becos of the weather. its always really nice to see the difference of a place.

Ces couleurs sont fantastiques. La cascade contraste de manière impressionnante avec la couleur verte de l'herbe.

Very nice colors and composition. The greens and blues are just perfect, and so are the distinct clouds. The water is slightly overexposed but it is a side matter. Although it is a fairly common angle of the waterfall, yet it is different and captures the place at its very best. How can you not be a fan of this place when you see this photo?

Superbe, je trouve juste que le premier plan est un peu trop présent, surtout l'herbe plate et sombre en bas a gauche, mais sinon c'est un sans faute ;-)

This is a superb composition! The combination of the rolling hill with the waterfall, and the winding road is very pleasing to the eye and surreal. What a striking image,
The colours in this photo are tremendous, what a nice light on these hills. The relief in the landscape is well visible, I also like the curved road, which adds nice depth in the photo, combined with the part of the road in front that goes from the right corner to the left. Strong composition! Waterfall off center, seems like a huge one, and you've even captured the steam that comes from the fall well detailed! Impressive photo, I'm sure the 17-40 +pola had a big part in creating this photo.

Je viens de voir cette photo en page d'accueil de TE, et c'est somptueux, tout simplement ! Ce vert rendrait fou de jalousie n'importe quel irlandais lol Des couleurs magnifiques, une composition parfaite avec ce chemin qui nous mène au choix au pied ou au sommet des chutes d'eau. Et cette lumière incroyable qui éclaire subtilement cette moquette verte ! C'est absolument renversant !
