Photographer’s Note
This mini replica version of a German Castle sits on the south side of a lake in Furnas, Sao Miguel, Azores. I've been searching for the story about it, but have yet to find anything. Anyone know anything more?
The pink lily-like flowers in the foreground, I believe, are called "Girls go to School". They flower first, around the time school starts in Azores, then afterwards the leaves sprout up.
Photoshop was used to make the castle stand out in the shadow of the hillside.

Nice little place you found there in San Miguel. Are you sure it is a replica of a little german castle, And not simply a little gothic english church?
The surroundings are lovely.
