Photographer’s Note
Spring in Malta is colourful. The Crown daisy is very abundant and renders the hill sides yellow. Insects drone everywhere and the climate becomes enjoyable. Seen here on top of a hill is Verdala palace. This was Built by the Knights of ST John to serve as a summer residence. A thick wood was planted around it to serve them as hunting ground. Today, the palace is used as the president's residence and the woods [Buskett] has been turned into a park and a natural reserve.
