Bonjour Frederic,

Magnifique compo and presentation. The graphic nature of this photo also works well in B&W. I love the idea of two people. One with only legs and the other with a head and torso. They are even wearing the same type of clothes...great! One petit criticism. I would try to crop out, or remove the clothing on the bottom right corner. I think it dilutes the whole effect of the compostion.
Nevertheless, a very good photograph.

this is an example how well the simplicity can complicate the things: the fragment of the jacket in the bottom right corner just spoilt this lovely work,
anyhow - bravo for the observation!

Well, I quite like this idea, Fred, and I'm not surprised to see Rafal's reaction to it because it reminds me a bit of his style. Nice simple framing with the 2 (or rather 1½) characters and the patterned pavement. Good tonality in the b&w. As a previous critiquer said, getting rid of the piece of clothing in the lower right corner would tidy up the total. Nice work.

j'aime assez je dois dire, c'est frais, ça bouscule les règles, ça dérange papi et mami. ;-)
A mon avis 2 choses dérangent un peu :

- le tissus sur la droite
- Tu pourrais couper encore plus franchement le gars du bas.

c'est très fort ce cadrage Fred ! j'aime bien le haut coupé qui pourrait presque correspondre au bas coupé lui aussi. Superbe cadrage et un n&b d'une grande qualité. J'aime beaucoup mais une question : comment fais-tu pour avoir l'idée ? Arghhh ça m'énerve ;o)

papi et mami font du vélo :)
j'avais vu mais pas commenté.
ca fait deux photos cette semaine où la tête d'un personnage se trouve sur un second.
j'aime bien le concept même si sur mon nouvel écran la teinte rose me gêne un peu.

Il est vrei que j'aime la confidence de cette image, cet anonymat qui lui colle si bien à la peau, sans voir ces visages nous ne pouvons que nous voir dans l'action, comme une mise en abyme litéraire et spirituelle.

Petit bémol pour la veste dans le coin, mais bon...

Ben tu sais, il faut sortir des compos toutes faites pour avancer...C'est du tout bon pour moi et j'aime vraiment quand on prend des risques!
Le cadrage est très original avec ce biker et seulement ses bras..

A beautiful work with symbolic dymensions as the young boy is presented with a tiny bike by what looks like an adult. Interesting theme, observation, metaphor perhaps. I love your pp and the graphism present. However, I would have loved to omit the boy's jacket in the lower right corner, for imo it is slightly breaking the balance of the composition. Anyhow, lovely work!

I have to add this into my favorites. Its a very strong compo. The b/w is super, first of all. Super tonality! This has that magazine look to it, and would look great on my wall:) I like the anonymity of this shot. We dont see either face. While that could be seen as a coincidence if only the sitting guy was there, your superbly confident crop on the guy riding the bike brings this feeling right to the fore as if you meant that to be what we get.

Ouaips, c'est bien fait, la compo ne manque pas d'équilibre, ce qui est le moins que l'on puisse attendre de ce genre ed situation, de plus il a une bonne orientation des dalles de sol, qui donne l'élément diagonal dynamique.
P'tet, un chouia rouge à mon goût, j'aurais bien vu peu plus clair, le gris des dalles aussi, histoire que ça soit pas pesant. à part ça c'est tout bon.

A great spectator point of view shot and perfect positioning of both the person watching and the bike. Normally I would be critical of cropping out the head, but here it works, as we aren't interested in his head, only the tricks that hes performing.

C'est ma première fois que je vois un mono-jambiste faire du vélo ;o). Originale comme compo, pas tête, si ... une tête mais ... pas de visage. Perso, une monotonie se degage de cette scène ..; peut-etre a cause du velo statique, du gâ qui s'isole avec ses ecouteurs. Sympa les tons de couleurs, c'est vrai peut etre un peu trop de rouge.

Nicely done my friend - a really well taken moment with your usual creative flair - I agree a little with the comment by Des - the tone is near perfect but the centrality of the slightly burnt area on the back of the guy's shirt is a little distracting - but I am being a little over critical maybe - the whole works so well.

Great composition, with the top half of the biker out of frame, and the bottom half of the bystander also out of frame. Together they form a whole human being. ;-) I'd say it's time to add another person to my favorites list... that person being you.
