Mount Robson Photo

Photographer’s Note

It is almost impossible to find Mount Robson with its summit visible. It is almost always covered by clouds. This was taken just before it started to rain. Mount Robson is the highest point in the Canadian Rockies. The south face of Mount Robson is clearly visible from the Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16). The north face can be seen from Berg Lake, reached by a 17.5-kilometre hike.

Hi Raza
This is difficult lighting to capture. The FG is dark & the nountain BG is light. I like the layers in the picture with the blue V of the mountains in front of Mt.Robson. May be you can try curves on PS to give a better light overall. But I'm quite OK with this with the Mt.Robson absolutely majestic

it is great the way you have kept the foreground darker which accentutaes the mountain peak's color and detail to its fullest. good composition, nice work with the light here.

A good POV of Mount Robson covered by clouds. The photo has a good composition and colors altered by the clouds.

Hello Raza
Nice view of this mountain.
The high luminosity of the sky gives a little under exposure of the picture.
The best way is to over expose one step high or to use a grey grad filter like Cokin filter.
I'll try to make a workshop.

Wow! That´s impressive! The mountain in the background is huge and imponent. I like the pines forest in the foreground, all in the shadow. A beautiful landscape. Good use of the light, which I guess, must have been pretty tuff. Nice angle, POV and definition. Good note too. Congratulations and TFS.
