Photographer’s Note

This is inside the musullah of the masjid in Urbana, IL.

It is a nice open space to come in and relax in the afternoons, especially when it starts to get hot outside or there are so many people running here and there for their errands. Its kind of a breath of relief.

Sometimes I go there just to sit or take quick cat naps in the summertime.

Even though the walls are painted white during the afternoon they have this blueish hue that goes with the carpeting and calligraphy nicely for a kind of subduing effect on the mood/mind.
