Good low POV take, Brian! You got the perspective here really nice with the B&W enhancing graphics and the potruding rail light and the dramatic clouds. Very good!

Hi Brian
Excellent perspective, the eye can't help but follow that sweep of the tracks. Great depth of field and good use of black & white - totally fitting for the gritty industrial feel of this image.
Nice work

Bonjour Brian,
excellent POV et cadrage pour cette photo vieillie par l'usage du n/b, un très bon choix, d'autant que rien ne trahit les technilogies du XXIe siècle.
Compliments.
Daniel.
Hi Brian,
This is really good. "the long and winding train track"...
I think the image quality os actually quite good. I think for shots like this, a certain amount of authenticity is needed...
I was just trying to give my housemate (misstrish) an explanation of what grain means and why it adds so much to the picture...now, correct me if I am wrong, but I guess it gives the effect of age...like it has been sitting around in a drawer for some time. However, this one looks like it has been hanging (away from bright light) in a frame.
Good results...nice to see some oldschool photographs here...
kaj
ps. the sky looks really good...did you dodge/burn it? Something I am trying (and failing) to do at the moment...in case you have not noticed, I am trying to capture darker moods and subjects :)

I like it Brian. But here is where we differ. I know exactly how I would shoot this, and f/16 wouldnt be it:) Probbaly f/4 or wider. Im ofcourse not suggesting that this is what you should have done, Im just happy that there are so many different approaches on TE to photography. The good thing here is that at f/16 we get this great barren landscape, a sort of post industrial place devoid of live, barren. With the track cutting it up, giving it that steel, industrial feel. The acid rain skies are super. B/w was the only way to go. A blue sky would have ruined everything.

Hi Brian,
Excellent POV in this very strong composition. The B&W gives it a lot more drama in to it.
Really nice...good work..!!!

Hi Brian,
The B&W setting's really really strong... Impressive depth and I like the low-ish perspective you've chosen. and I don't mind the grain...it makes this pic look more classical & timeless. strong compo, fine & effective result.

Very nice compo Brian,
Perfect low POV and framing.
Good work,

Really good, moody B&W image. Great use of lead-in lines and I like the dramatic sky. The only thing I'm not sure about is the signal being so central in the frame...

Hi Brian
Well i don't understand why i didn't discover your porfolio before. this is great to see the traditionnal picture, sometimes i d like work with but that's so expensive. here the pov is so graphic especially with a superb b&w treatment
