The historical heart of Minsk - Freedom Square, where you see a renovated building of the Minsk City Hall built in the 16th century as a symbol of independence and City status, and ruined by decision of Russian Tsars soon after occupation.
In the background you see the Jesuite Roman-Catholic Cathedral which was defaced by Soviet authorities after the WWII and turned into a sports facility. As a schoolboy I attended Judo wrestling classes there...
