Photographer’s Note
I took this picture from Jersey City, NJ. Just across the river from the river from the downtown financial district of NYC. We just drove 9 hours in continous rain and arrived at our hotel early in the morning. We lucked out/got stuck in a 'parlour' room. This meant we had one of the best views in the hotel, but our room didn't have a bed. Turned out to be fine since we all thought the view was worth it. I forgot my tripod at home and had to settle with the rooms balcony to serve as a stationary spot for some long exposure shots. I increased the contrast and did a little sharpening of this photo. The next day the fog cleared up and I got some excellent clear shots of the skyline and an almost full moon.
