Real fruits? Photo

Photographer’s Note

I was in Chatuchak market, one of the largest markets in the world. I thought to buy a fruit, but these ones were made out of plastic..
Located opposite the old northern bus terminal along Phahonyothin it is a must for any traveller coming to Bangkok who has shopping on his/her mind.

I agree - those fruits not only looks odd shaped - they also got some strange colours (specially the blue ones) - I like the way they been setup for sale - nicely spotted and captured.

This is my first visit to your gallery; I have enjoyed browsing and you have some fine work.
I found this one amusing; to display so much plastic fruit seems strange. No wonder it caught your attention as the diagonal arrangement of the shiny fruit makes an interesting graphic pattern on the horizontal shelves. Well spotted.

C'est fou comme ils sont maniaques en asie, les etalages de fruits c'est nickel, une sculpture, rien ne deplace, presque ca me fait peur d'acheter de peur d'abimer l'esthetisme du chef d'oeuvre. Sympa cette image, tres colore, si seulement ca pouvait etre des vrais fruits raahhh ;o)

Very nice diagonal and horizontal composition of colors of fruits and vegetables. I started to salivate when I saw this picture (Pavlov reflex) ... but they are of plastic?
The upper right corner is distractive and fotobram's WS was very helpful in endorsing the geometry.

Je reste attaché à tes cadrages serrés. Celui-là est très opportun. Quelle palette de couleurs !
Il y a de bonnes lignes en diagonale avec les fruits. Très bien vu et pris.

Wonderful colours, Marilyn! I like this kind of patterns! But... you know? The best of it is that I love to visit this kind of markets when traveling...because it´s a nice way to know the place, the smell, the colours, the people. Very nice capture to TE. Well done!

Pretty collection of colors and shapes. It was kind of disappointing to find out they are not real and only plastic. However, that does not detract from the beauty. A very nice capture.

I like some of the workshops that have been performed to remove the top left corner and level the shot.

Sympa les fruits en plastoc! ca donne pas vraiment faim mais la compo est bonne avec ces couches de couleurs differentes, malgre quques difficultes au niveau du cropping, je vois que avec ce smiley ta photo arrive a 50!

Amazing. Are you sure these are made of plastic? The star fruit looks so real! The pears, pumpkins and chili peppers look so real. I like the colors! Tweak it a little bit by adding saturation and the colors will pop! The star fruit on the top right looks so abstract. Would be a nice pic to get a close-up. Have fun with you camera! Très belle photo très graphique et pleine de couleurs.
Je ne proposerais pas de WS car beaucoup de propositions ont déjà été faites mais c'est vrai que j'aurais bien vu un cadrage un petit plus serré ainsi que des couleurs un peu plus vives, mais aucun doute tu as une très belle photo.

une photo qui montre le soin qu'apportent les commeràçants de la-bas au rangeement de leur commerce et la présentation de la marchandise.
Les couleurs sont très belles et interssants sont les motifs générés par la disposition des fruits.
Superbe couleurs et grande netteté.
Du tout bon boulot avec une touche d'originalité.

The geometry of the arrangement and the colors from the fake fruits is quite something. Glad you saw this as an opportunity. The only negative part is the upper left-hand side of the fruits where the open space is. I thoughts are along the workshop.

What an explosion of colors and symmetry! If they were real fruits I would definitely want to check if they weren't genetically modified - they are too perfect :) Did you ask them why they sell plastic fruits? I wander what is the reason on plastic fruits stall?

Tes photos sont à l'opposé des miennes et je trouve que celle-ci ne manque pas d'originalité. C'est bien vu et superbement restitué avec de très belles couleurs.

Plastic eh! well I never what next.
Very nice, as they say geometrical design.
I would like to change the hue a little and the top left is a little distracting so the workshop has to some extent succeeded.
I just don't believe how many plactic varieties there are, thats just amazing
